ECOSSE
REFERENCE ‘THE DIRECTOR SE DIGITAL’ INTERCONNECT
The Brief: to design a
no-compromise true 75ohm digital interconnect allowing the music to pass to
the pre-amp with least coloration - ensuring clarity and detail, resolution
and dimension - at less than £100. We finally succeeded with 'The Director'
and it may well be the finest interconnect we have in our entire range!
High-end system owners
are recommended to audition 'The Director' if they require breathtaking
dynamics and are passionate about getting as close to the action as is humanly
possible - without annoying the neighbours too much!
Here we use our
award-winning ultra pure, grain free Monocrystal™ conductor for both 'going'
and 'return' signal paths, coupled with our unique Monocrystal™ Cu
non-compressing, silver-plated RCA plugs. Appropriate screening ensures total
rejection of RFI. The result is smooth-as-silk digital signal with no
'roll-off' in high frequencies - a characteristic of inferior digital cables.
'The Director' may be
specified with phono or BNC plugs or a combination of the two - at no extra
cost. Features:

Recent upgrades at no
extra cost to this cable:
Our vastly superior
RCA plugs have been improved again. The centre pin and shielding have been
hard silver-plated for faster, smoother signal transmission (and increased
bandwidth) and we’ve upped the ante by using unique, patented Monocrystal™
all-Cu Pins in both the centre ‘going’ conductor and the ‘return’
shield.
With regard to the
cable’s topology we have (1) increased the ratio of air within the dielectric
and (2) used a softer, low density PVC for the jacket.
Now, we use our new
Supersolder™-our ultra high purity/high silver content solders- which has also
added significantly to the sonic benefits now offered by The Director SE.
