MkII VERSION
The “Producer Mk II” digital interconnect cable offers
significant improvements over its predecessor. It retains the Monocrystal™ Cu
multistranded, rope-lay woven signal conductor- now with an increase in
cross-section of each strand - and the ultra low-loss air-foamed Polyethylene
dielectric insulator but now has a silver-plated Ultra-Hi Purity-OFC
braid. Please note that the depth of this silver plating is not the 0.15-0.2
micron commonly found in many our competitors’ cables, but uses 0.5 micron
silver deep plating, which offers considerably better performance.
While still retaining
the correct 75 ohm characteristic impedance, the increased X-section improves
conductivity while the use of heavy silver plating on the return path offers a
much lower resistance thereby increasing transmission. The effect of this
sonically is greater clarity, speed and bandwidth while reducing the effects
of EMI/ESI/RFI noise ingress resulting in an even quieter background.
The “Producer Mk II”
is fitted with our new double shielded RCA plugs and the joint is formed with
lead-free Supersolder™ which compliment the improvements in the cable design.
Supersolder™ is our new ultra high purity silver and tin alloy solid wire-
used in conjunction with our unique, passive organic flux. Together these
ensure a joint with ultra low chemical contaminants and very high strength.
